The perfect weekend getaway for relaxing in Brentwood, CA.

On our visit to Hotel Angeleno in Brentwood, we had the great pleasure of dining at their restaurant West at the top floor. The hotel was modern, clean and chic. It was a perfect weekend getaway for a relaxing and romantic trip.

At West, the first thing that strikes you is it’s 200 degree circular view of the city and the ocean. This combined with it’s elegant lounge atmosphere makes it ideal for a romantic evening dinner.

We were treated with an array of fresh plates from the amazing chef. We had from the appetizers menu: The sunchoke soup, a brown summer truffle that it is a must have. Roasted baby beets with a cream made of orange, goat milk and olive oil powder was a special treat. Wild mushrooms with garlic scapes and lemon dressing was delightful. Stuffed quail with red quinoa , fava beans, bloomsdale spinach and orange was fresh and tasteful.

From the main course menu we had the beef fillet with red wine onions, gem lettuce and delicious short rib ravioli. Loup de mer, a ratte potato and truffle and the hanger steak with english peas, tamworth beacon, twice baked potato which we highly recommend!

On Friday nights they also have live music which can only enhance the experience.
