Wythe Hotel Brooklyn, NY
Our stay at the Wythe Hotel was full of comfort, luxury and cleanliness. The lobby entrance was chic and stylish and also had our favorite magazine: V Magazine. This was a historic Brooklyn factory turned into a boutique hotel. It has a time-worn beauty that was preserved from its historic routes.
The location is ideal as you can walk along the river. In the Summer there are picnics, volleyball and water sports. It is was the perfect evening to see the Manhattan lights from the river. There are also a multitude of restaurants and shops in this artistic community of Williamsburg.
The rooms are expansive, light and high end. There are beautiful details from exposed bricks, to beautiful wallpaper, 13’ ceilings and breathtaking skyline views. Some rooms have their own private terrace. The beds are a delight and the furniture is modern and stylish. The bathroom’s tile is exquisite. Some bathrooms come with a self standing bathtub.
The French restaurant Le Crocodile is on the ground floor. It is a beautiful bright and modern space. They are open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. You will find a mix of oysters, hors d’oeuvres, and the classic French dishes: onion soup with gruyere, Waldorf salad, steak tartare, chocolate mousse, profiteroles and do not miss the sticky banana date pudding. There are wonderful cocktails and drinks to choose from as well.
Bar Blondeau is a French-Style bar on the 6th floor and open in the afternoon to evenings depending on weekday or weekend. The view is magnificent at night overlooking the Manhattan skyline. The menu features a seafood with French, Spanish and Portuguese influences, as well as an International wine list and signature cocktails.
It is in the perfect location: close to the L Train or a quick 10 min by taxi to Manhattan. It is a 6 minute walk to East River Ferry.
