Hi I’m Lisa Elliot-Rosas, living my life to the fullest in Ojai, CA. I own and operate a high-end fashion showroom with over 20 years of success growing many of the brands you know and love. Recently, I founded Lit Up as a continuation of my efforts to build beautiful brands.

I created Journey33 with the intention of architecting a travel journal geared towards travelers seeking a more authentic experience. A fresh and tailored site offering a variety of information with good taste and local findings. For me, that means two things: incredible food and amazing destinations.

Anika Poitier

Los Angeles

Filmmaker / Jewelry Designer

Inspirations: Laughter, good food, travel, lazy days, my dogs, my friends
Places traveled: Paris, Venice, Bahamas, St. Tropez, Lake Como, London, Porto Chervo Sardinia, Greece, Hong Kong, Monaco, Mexico, Hawaii, Switzerland, Vancouver, Toronto, Madrid, Tunisia.

Bio: grew up in Los Angeles where she was always surrounded by the arts. She spent much of her childhood on movie sets and was aspired to recreate the magic of movie making. At 18 she moved to New York City, where her love for the arts expanded to include acting and painting. Anika studied at Sarah Lawrence College, The American University of Paris, and the American Film Institute. After spending time abroad, Anika returned to New York to work as an actor. While working in a number of  independent films, she re-discovered the art of film making; a medium she felt integrated all the things that she loved into a single creative expression. As a classically trained painter Anika became excited to trade her paintbrushes for a camera and bring her visual aesthetic to a new medium.

In between films, Anika pursued her passion for design. She has collaborated with her mother on interior design projects, designed a line of drapery panels for Florio Collection and designed jewelry for her own line called Brooks Poitier. Anika’s desire for an eco-friendly and non-toxic lifestyle has inspired her latest design endeavors including co-creating ASP & Co.

From the ocean to downtown, she finds her inspiration in hidden alcoves across the city. Danielle Levitt

Los Angeles / New York City

Photographer

Favorite places: Africa, Morocco, Costa Rica, Europe.
Bio: Born in California, I started taking photos after I stole my mothers 35mm Canon ( I was ten). Oh I loved it! I loved the way the camera looked, and how it felt to press the shutter release. By the time I was in Junior High School, the camera was just as much a part of me as my arm. I joined the yearbook and would shoot all of my friends doing their best model poses. It was clear, that I wanted nothing else than to become a photographer. When I could I moved to NY (rumor had it, that NY is where the photographers were, so I arrived with my best friend and some cheap luggage.) It took a few but I finally got my start, a street fashion column in the NY POST. It was the late 1990s so I found joys in capturing styles that varied from a single strap messenger bag look to a slip over pants ensemble.
